GAMM 2013

Next week the 84th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (Gesellschaft für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, GAMM) will take place in Novi Sad, Serbia. I will a giva a talk in the Young Researchers’ Minisymposium “Scale-bridging modeling and simulation – methodological and computational aspects” organized by Felix Fritzen.

Please note that for the first time at a GAMM conference, we have organized a poster exhibition on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 15:00 — 16:30 at the University of Novi Sad.

ECCOMAS PhD Olympiad 2012

The GAMM has selected me as participant for the PhD Olympiad 2012 in Aveiro from 25-26 April, 2012 in conjunction with the YIC2012, the 1st European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) Young Investigators Conference. My talk “Multiscale modeling and multirate time‐integration of field/circuit coupled problems” is on Wednesday, April 25 at 15:40 ‐ 16:00.

Zwei GAMM-Juniors von der BUW

Aus den Medieninformationen der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal:
Die Gesellschaft für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik (GAMM) hat erstmalig einen Ausschuss für Jungwissenschaftler gegründet – die GAMM-Juniors. Zehn Nachwuchsforscher wurden in den Ausschuss berufen, darunter zwei von der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal: Dr. Karsten Kahl aus der Arbeitsgruppe Angewandte Informatik von Prof. Dr. Andreas Frommer und Dr. Sebastian Schöps aus der Arbeitsgruppe Angewandte Mathematik von Prof. Dr. Michael Günther.
